Hi. I'm Deborah. My Trail Name is Soaring Eagle
I'm a mother, grandmother, wife, hiker, traveler, storyteller, and lifelong believer that there's always another adventure waiting.
My story has been shaped by two generations of single mothers, a mother who never stopped cheering me on, two children who gave my life direction, and a husband who continues to encourage me to pursue my dreams.
My mother was one of my biggest champions. She believed in me, encouraged me, and reminded me that I was capable of more than I sometimes imagined. Her example has stayed with me throughout my life, and it's shaped the way I want to show up for other women.
My trail name, Soaring Eagle, came from my heavenly mother. It's a name that means so much more to me than what I answer to on the trail. It's a reminder to me of all the times my mother gave me the confidence to soar. Her encouragement, life lessons, and the love she gave me is part of who I am. I carry my mother's legacy in my heart, especially when I'm out on the trail.
That's Why I Created Debs Travel Vibe.
I've spent more than 30 years building a professional career, serving communities, creating organizations, and helping others find their voices. Along the way, I've learned how easy it is to spend so much time taking care of everyone else's needs and dreams that we forget to make room for our own. I want to bring women together to explore new trails, discover new places, challenge themselves, and build friendships along the way.
My Philosophy.
I believe adventure doesn't have an age limit, friendships can start on the trail, and it's never too late to try something new.
You don't have to be an expert hiker, have a group of friends ready to go, or know where to begin. You just have to be willing to show up and see where the adventure takes you.
My mother spent my entire life cheering me on. I like to think she's still doing that, especially when I'm out on the trail. Her example taught me the importance of believing in other women, encouraging them, and being someone in their corner.
That's what I hope to pass along through Debs Travel Vibe. I want women to leave our adventures feeling encouraged, supported, and excited about what comes next. And I hope they carry those friendships and memories with them long after the miles are behind them.
Because we all have people who helped shape who we are. I carry my mother's legacy in my heart, and I hope to be a little bit of that encouragement for someone else.
